It's the dough. The twice baked pizza, the Sicilian is one of the many great pizzas Ponzo's offers. I realized after eating quite a bit that it had no meat, which is a new thing for a pizza I consider this good. Basicly anything involving their pizza dough is among my favorite pizza. You can find competitive pizza across town quality wise, but they always charge silly prices...Ponzo's happens to be close by the downtown area AND it's reasonable prices. Aces for authenticity.

Pizza. Great pizza and meatball sub. Service is great. The smell when you walk in is the best. Smells like a NYC pizzeria.

Meatball sub...best ever...pizza...GREAT!!!
Lunch special with orginal sub!!! Can't live without it!!!
This place is for real, great food, great owners...Not a cookie cutter chain. I love it and I highly recommended it to anyone in the midtown area.

Worth the drive. This neighborhood pizza/italian food has excellent fresh ingredients that are made by a friendly family. Hand tossed pizza that is thin crust is my favorite. Tomato sauce is spicy and full of flavor. Patio area to eat. Very Casual.

New York Pizza in Houston!. We moved here from NY a year ago, and Ponzo's is a saving grace. Makes us feel like we are home. Best pizza around and the staff is so friendly! GReat all around!

Houston's Best Pizza. Growing up in the Northeast we have been searching for pizza that was as good as the authentic italian pies of our youth. We found it at Ponzo's. Their pizza is superb and can easily compete with anything NYC can offer. If you love pizza the way we do you'll be forever grateful you went to Ponzo's. Order your pie and have it delivered next door to the Dog House tavern.

Belive the Hype.
This should have been done ALONG Time ago!
Ponzo's is the best Pizza I have every had...
The resturant is run by family, There mom makes the best Lasagana and Meatballs in this whole town!
And Peter is got to be the best pizza chef that midtown has ever had... And the girls at Ponzo's are always polite and very helpful.
Hell!, we drive from Sugar Land to get food, we enjoy there pizza and pasta so very much
