The funky older building has limited seating inside, but that's OK. It's more fun to grab your tray from the cafeteria-style line and head for the many picnic tables lined up outside on a covered patio. You can still hear the Willie Nelson music blasting away. Look for a curious mix of West U yuppies, blue-collar 'cue fans, Rice students and Montrose bohos. With barbecue this accomplished, a second location was inevitable; Wild West residents and businesses are mighty grateful for the Katy Freeway outpost. Thank your lucky stars you live in Texas and celebrate with another piece of rich pecan pie.
The Food
Moist smoked duck and chicken lean toward the oil slick, but the thick, sweet-spicy-smoky barbecue sauce is in a class by itself, transforming the brisket into a real delicacy. Sides such as potato salad and coleslaw aren't Hall of Famers, but the soft, homemade jalapeño cheese bread is a star player.

Have bought their pecan pie several times for holdiays but had never eaten there until today. It was not good. Brisket was very dry and BBQ sauce was bland. Coleslaw was really bland. Sausage was nothing spectacular. We won't be back - there is better BBQ elsewhere.

Goode Company hands down has the best smoked turkey. It is very moist and has a great seasoning to it. Not overpowering the turkey though. The potato salad here is tasty, I like to add a little mustard and pickle to mine though because I like it tart. This location is bigger than the one located on Kirby and the atmosphere is a little more quieter. the servers are nicer here too I think.

THIS PLACE RATES A 10 IN FOOD, SERVICE, PARKING, AND ATMOSHERE. HEDWIG VILLAGE ONLY. YOLANDA FROM CHILDREN'S COLLECTIONS HOSTED A CHRISTMAS PARTY AT HER HOME AND USED THIS LOCATION FOR THE FOOD. WE FORGOT THE DESERTS SO WE DROVE BACK TO TO PICK UP. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD BEEN IN THIS LOCATION AND WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH THE CARE THEY GAVE CUSTOMERS, THE FOOD PRESENTATION LOOKED GOOD. I LOVED THE ATMOSHERE AND HOW ATTENTIVE THEY HANDLED CUSTOMERS.
