Tips for Pappas Burger

2nd Best Burgers in Houston. I can?t help it I am partial to Lankford Grocery but they have horrible hours. Pappas though is outstanding. Well seasoned beef, HUGE burgers, great milkshakes, nice and friendly service, a million TV?s to watch the game on. I wish I lived a little bit closer. If you want a place better than Fuddruckers go here.

Love it!. I am a regular on thursday evening. Gage is my waiter every time and he is so great. He remembers exactly what I want and is always prompt. Very good service.

The Scene
Step up to the counter to place an order. Galleria-area workers, singles and casually clad parents with their broods blend at this casual burger joint. Spacious and noisy with swift service and a crowd-pleasing menu.
The Food
Juicy, griddle-style hamburgers that deliver the biggest bang for the buck. The half-pound specimen is piled high with fixings and accompanied by first-rate crunchy fries. The barbecue-sauced burger is topped with hickory-smoked cheddar, hefty bacon and onions. The lighter, grilled ahi tuna burger with cucumbers and buttery avocado also impresses. Lighter fare isn't overlooked, with a bountiful Greek salad served over grilled pita, or Mary's BLT salad with pungent blue cheese crumbles in a vinaigrette dressing. A towering Oreo cookie silk pie is the ultimate ending. Various beverages, including smooth milkshakes, beer-by-the-bucket and Pappas signature 'ritas, accommodate every taste.

You need a fork for this one. These hamburgers are so good. I love the burger loaded with chili and cheese. It is so messy that you have to use a fork and knife. The shakes are also wonderful and please don't ever tell me the calories in any of this food. Nice place to watch a game and drink a beer.

Best hamburger in town. My husband and I both agree that Pappas Burgers is the place to have the best burger in Houston. Believe me we have tried other burger places but, this place is consistent and great service everytime. He likes to get his fries extra crispy!! The cheeseburger and Blue Cheese burger are amazing!

Burgers are AWESOME....skip the fries.
As others have noted, the fries are not good. The long ones are limp and mushy, the short ones are crisp...very inconsistent.
This place has THE BEST burgers I have ever tastest. HIGHLY recommended!
The service was great, the waiter was adorable (Thanks, Eric!). I would greatly recommend at least one visit!

Over-priced Burgers. Though the burger tastes really good, it is overpriced and the atmosphere is loud. The restaraunt organization is annoyingly unclear. You order your meal at a counter where you get a buzzer but later you have a waiter also. Why have a buzzer if you have a waiter. Ordering at the counter and having a waiter should not be combined in a restaurant. I did enjoy their burger. The fries were mediocre as some of them were soggy and not crunchy. I do not think I would go back on my own.

Overpriced and tasteless patties. Paying $2.50 for soda and meat patties that are tasteless (aside from pepper) is all that's behind the hype.

Never Leave Hungry. The atmosphere is a little noisy sometimes, but the service is great and the food outstanding. I dare anyone to try to leave Pappa's Burgers hungry! Chicken fried steak is a platter full, with cream gravy my mother would have been proud to serve. The fries are uniformly great, and the garlic mashed potatoes are really tasty. The burgers are two-handers. I never leave without a take away box.
