Classiest in town. Meteor is without doubt the classiest gay bar in the state of Texas. It's nice to go into a nice gay bar and not have to deal with the pretentious people you find in most of them. They have a great half priced happy hour and a great staff. On a Sunday, you can drink $1.00 vodka drinks and not believe your tab is over ten dollars. Really helps the pocket book these days. Totally great bar to let loose or unwind.

best bar in the town. It's a great place to hang out and watch your favorite videos and mingle with old and new friends. The environment is laid-back and the staff members are great!

The hottest spot in Houston. The meteor lounge is the best little secret in Houston, with more class than any of the Midtown bars adjacent to it and at half the price. Everything from the Jungle patio to the colorful chandeliers is pleasing to the eye and its not a place packed with raving teenagers, its a great place to just kick back and relax with friends or mix and mingle with new people.

Good Place to have a good time and mingle. This is a good place to mingle andor keep to yourself. Meteor is also a good place to meet the people to know or the "who's who" in the "Alternative Lifestyle" community. With all of the friendly bartenders to make your time here an experience or even if you come in for one time stop, You always have fun at Meteor.

Best place in Houston. There are a lot of great people who visit Meteor on a regular basis and the events that Meteor host are always great as well. The bartenders make the best drinks and the floor staff always keeps the place clean, I have nothing but great comments and admiration for this place. So I rate Meteor 10 stars but it will only allow 5. :-)

Chic and fun. Meteor is a little gay secret. It has a great crowd of the best looking guys in Houston. The whole experience is elegant and modern. The staff is incredibly friendly and, even at the busiest times, service is stellar. There is a great patio that is beautifully landscaped, and the music is always cutting edge.

Fabulous border of Montrose. This is where Montrose begins and Midtown ends. Yeah, it can get a little pretentious sometimes, but that's just the inner queen of Montrose coming out. The decor is spot on and drinks better than any water downed "drinks" you'll have to suffer through in Midtown. Meteor is fabulous and if it ever closes again, I'm voting Republican! just kidding.

For Real?. Nice bar, looks cool, very clean! But horrid people, Isn't this what Dallas is supposed to be? Don't expect to find anyone there to conversate with unless you already know them. I don't know where half these people come from I don't even think they are from Houston!

Hottest Gay Boys in Town. The first time I ever went to Meteor after the Grand Opening, I was immedietly impressed. The staff, decor, and atmoshphere all make for an awsome and inviting place to hang out.

I immedietly fell in love with the staff, and have since made Meteor, my "Home Bar."

Alec, the GM is a total delight, and the plush couches, and warm inviting personlity of the place, makes me want to continue to come back again and again. The crowd is great, and tends to attract a more higher end clientale than Jrs or the Mining. The 1.00 Vodka Drinks on Monday and Sunday nights is a great addition to the Kareoke show hosted by non other than Justin Dollar, not to menchon the hot gay boys that you will find wondering around the patio or lounging on a couch some where. Weather you are just visiting the area, or you call Houston your home, Meteor is with out a doubt a bar your going to want to frequent. If you have not made it yet, you need to soon!
