In Short – The bar (formerly known as Union Station Tavern) is small, almost cramped; it's meant for small groups--like the infield of a local softball team or two office buddies looking for a quiet place to complain about their boss. Beer snobs roost at the bar stools, turning their nose at any guy who orders a Michelob Ultra. Domestic, Texas and UK beers (including selections from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) are on special Monday through Wednesday.

Always a good time

As much as I hate being coined a "regular" at any bar...this place always has me coming back. One of the best things about Union Station is that everyone is accepted - like another reviewer said, it seems like nobody is overlooked. The bartenders are friendly, the jukebox is good, the drink prices are reasonable, and the patrons are usually a fun group. This is not your typical trendy/pretentious downtown hangout and I have fealt like family since the first time I walked in.

A great dive bar where everybody will know your name. Diverse patronage and a great place to stop for cheap beers before and after seeing a baseball game. Bands occasionally play here. Also, since the dartboards have been moved, I know of no better place in Houston to throw arrows.
