Sink your teeth into this franchise's signature glazed doughnut, and don't be afraid to indulge in its many varieties of deep-fried perfection.. In Short
In 1937, Vernon Rudolph brought a secret recipe from a French chef to North Carolina, creating the infamous irresistible treat and starting a glazed doughnut revolution. These scrumptious doughy delights are brushed with a sugar coating, and have been know to cause even the most dedicated hard-bodies to temporarily abandon their diet. Evolving past the original glaze recipe, today customers can now choose from a variety of lip smacking treats, from apple fritter to New York cheesecake doughnuts. The international company still holds to its roots, providing welcoming and helpful service while perfecting its craft at making melt-in-your-mouth masterpieces.

Taste of Heaven. All of their donuts are great, plain glazed is like a taste of heaven. I am not a big donut person, these are more like dessert to me than breakfast.

better than shipleys. For some reason I like krispy kreme better than shipley's.. Also Shipley's donuts don't taste very good cold.. Krispy Kreme donuts taste good hot or cold.

Shipley is better? Whatever!. Just because something is from Texas doesn't make it automatically better. I'm into all things Texan, but I'm sorry I love Krispy Kreme donuts. What it all really boils down to is taste. Buy what you like and I like Krispy Kreme!

Shipley's Donuts are better. Krispy Kreme donuts are not bad, but Shipley's Donuts are better. The whole donut is of a better hand made quality and when they are fresh and hot, they will melt in your mouth. Krispy Kreme donuts are never going to reach the quality of Shipley's Donuts. Another good thing is that Shipley's Donuts is from Texas and has been serving the Lone Star State for many years now.

Krispy Freak's. Anybody who would drive and/or stand in line for 30 minutes to get a donut needs therapy. IT'S JUST A FREAK'IN DONUT!! You'd do just as well sticking your face in a bag of sugar.

Originated in NC. Krispy Kreme is the best. It originated in North Caroline not New York as another reviewer stated. Fresh from the glaze waterfall is best.

ummmm... glaze. Krispy Krack....heart attack! The long lines tell the story. Where else do you find lines out the door at 6:30 in the morning on a weekend.
