A MUST GO!. This place is wonderful. I love everything about it, the food, the atmosphere, the wait staff, the location & I really love the Cheif. We had a party of 10 and a very special occation to celebrate. I wouldn't have done it anywhere else. Don't walk, Run to this place NOW!

Great Place Great Food. This restaurant is one of our favorites. Went there for dinner tonight and loved it. The food is always fresh and the wine prices are always reasonable. Highly Recommend.

UNACCEPTABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES. I travel to Houston on business on average once a month. I have been a regular guest of this establishment as I truly enjoy the food and the very good wine list (at very fair prices). HOWEVER, I felt compelled to warn and advise all past, present, and future patrons of this establishment's DISCOURTEOUS and INEXCUSABLE business practices relative to reservations.

In brief, I made a reservation for 20 people for mid-December. The intention was to entertain members of one of Houston's largest businesses and one of my company's largest customers (think major oil and gas company). The reservation was made the first week of November and I was offered the option of a private room or the main dining room. One week later I was contacted by a staff member of Ibiza and advised that the owner decided to close the restaurant the evening of my reservation for a private party. In other words, a larger and more profitable party called and booked after my CONFIRMED reservation. To add insult to injury, I received a half-hearted apology and only after I requested assistance from Ibiza to help mitigate the circumstances, I was offered a reservation at one of Ibiza's sister restaurants (one that I considered of lesser quality). Absolutely no other compensation or apology was offered.

Needless to say I found alternate reservations at a much more professional establishment, and one that I deem much more worthy of the dollars that will be spent that evening. I am sorry to say that Ibiza has lost my future patronage, and probably the patronage of several residents of Houston who are frequent guests of Ibiza.

My gf and I ate here a week back or so, the service was great and the food was amazing. The lamb was by far the best I have ever had!

Houston's Best Kept Secret(Almost). Ibiza has something very close to the perfect amalgamation of everything that I look for in a restaurant.

I have lived over three continents and eaten in restaurants that charge anywhere from 20 cents to 300 dollars a head. I can tell you that good food is hard to find, and there isn't necessarily a correlation between price and quality. Food is definitely an art, and it takes an artist to get is right. The chef Charles Clarke is indeed an artist of his craft. He was even on Iron Chef.

Each dish is obviously been crafted with care and intention to bring flavor and rich culture to each plate you order. I've eaten here many times, and I have never tasted anything there that falls short of delectable. From presentation to taste, it never fails to impress.

The second factor in their fantastic combination would be the service. Many restaurants make you feel uncomfortable with how pompous the service attempts to be. Ibiza finds the perfect median between warm and friendly and professional and accurate. Each server has been attentive, knowledgeable, and above all, they are about what they are doing. It is a well run establishment, and you can sense that the employees believe in it too.

The final element would undeniably be their wine prices. Along with their incredibly reasonably food menu, the wine is almost illogically well priced. Other places, whom I shall not defame in this review, would charge by the glass prices at the same rate some of the bottles are priced at in Ibiza. They do not raise the prices on wine beyond what they can collect reasonable returns on. It's refreshing to a see an establishment that actually cares about the wine, and wants people to be able to experience them at, or close to the most reasonable price possible.

All in all, it's a combination that makes Ibiza one of the hottest places to be on any given day of the week.

The only thing I regret is that citysearch only allows me to rate it at 5 stars.

But don't take my word for it.

decent food, awful service. I can't believe I'm returning to this place; it was on my 20 year S____ list. Someone else who's treating insists on going there. The service on the last visit was among the worst I've ever had in a restaurant. The table of "guys" at the next to us had fawning service from our waiter, so I guess it varies depending on ??????? In a returnable restaurant, it should never vary.

Former Ibiza fans...no longer. My husband and I have dined at Ibiza on several occassions - with appetizers, entres and wine usually spending about $140, before the tip on average. But our last dining experience has made us question what was so great about that place, anyway.

I can be a picky eater - which I apologize over profusely. Whenever I want my dish to add or omit something, I ask graciously, and when the waiter/waitress forgets, I just suck it up and pick around the parts I didn't want. At $27 an entree, I should probably make more of a fuss. It is usually the heavy sauces that I have a problem with and I often just ask that the sauce come on the side, or not at all. So, as I have many times before, I requested that my dish come without the butter sauce. The waitress seemingly wrote this request down, however the dish was served smothered with butter...even over the vegetables. After about 10 minutes, the waitress came over and apologized for the butter - at which point there was no way I was going to make my tired, hungry husband wait another 20 minutes for them to fix it.

But, that's not even the worst part. In fact, I'm not even complaining about the butter - it's how the dish was created and I am the picky one - I accept that my special requests will not always be accommodated.

As I was trying to pick around the heaviest parts of the butter sauce I discovered not one, but TWO black hairs (I am blonde, my husband has a shaved head). I brought this to the attention of the manager who proceeded to insist on having another dish prepared. I was thankful for that...but after this experience we have agreed Ibiza is no longer on the top of our list and we probably will not be dining there anytime soon, if ever again. There are far too many excellent dining options in Houston.
