Catering to gay and gay-friendly vacationers, Hollywood at Galveston has 18 guest rooms and two suites decorated with photos and prints of Hollywood icons such as James Dean and Bette Midler. The two-story, U-shaped building dates back to 1946.

The Amenities
The small, spartan guest rooms contain basic amenities (showers, no bathtubs); each of the two spacious corner suites includes a pullout bed and two bathrooms. Smoking and nonsmoking rooms are available. A full, complimentary breakfast is offered in the Lucille Ballroom lounge, where resident blues singer-pianist Marcy Rae performs Friday and Saturday nights. There's a private, clothing-optional pool and spa area, and a second-story wooden deck overlooks the Gulf of Mexico.
