You can find better.. This place had horrible service! i had my birthday here and was definitely not satisfied. The food was alright, not good enough for the price i paid though. You can find many other italian restaurants in houston that beats this place!

I loved the setting though, the place was really neat and unique, other than that this place is horrible

In the "spirit of Italian culture", you are asked to leave!. In the "spirit of Italian culture", meals are served family style and you are promptly ASKED TO LEAVE. The atmosphere is great, food taste is great, our server Samantha was very attentive and efficient.... everything is great until a gentleman by the name of "George" comes to your table and asks you to leave. Then comes back a second time within 2 or 3 minutes to ask you to get up again. There is Italian family style dining for you! Would recommend this place to anyone, as long as you and your 13 guests can place your drink/dinner order, have coffee, dessert and pay for your check quickly before you are "politely asked to leave".

It's cute, but too expensive and Olive Garden is better. Olive Garden has been fantastic the last few times we've visited, so they're raising the bar. Bucca is really cute inside, and that makes it worth a visit. However, it's expensive and the food isn't as good as Olive Garden.

We paid $20/person and only got a small portion of food each. That included a $13 dessert that gave us each a small dessert, but it was so rich that it was enough (Apple Crostata-not recommended....too rich and only one scoop of ice cream for $14???). The cappuccino is ok, I've had plenty worse, but comes in a plain coffee mug with only a small dollop of runny foam.

They serve unspiced olive oil for dipping your bread, that's dumb. The plain bread is unwarmed...no excuse for that. My observation is that people want their own plate, they don't want to share community plates, so make your own judgment. Our room was too warm for my comfort.

So, it's worth a visit but not a winner.

Budget friendly for families. I signed up for email promotions and they send me $10 coupons. I take my girls for dinner and we all enjoy it. I like family style eating, more than enough and we really like the food. Family atmosphere.

Italian food????. The place is huge with a huge parking.

Staff is friendly and the place is clean - they aren't afraid to show you the kitchen while takind you to a table at the back of the restaurant. They have some food for people who can't eat gluten (which is a good thing).

And that would be all...I haven't found dishes I was eating in Italy. The same dishes they serve in so called "Italian" restaurants in Houston. Pizza was ok - at least on a thin crust but I didn't like pastas.

And those portions!! They are way to big...

Good food!. Absolutely loved it.

My wife is just about the pickiest when it comes to Italian food ... she almost NEVER likes any Italian place I take her... but tonight she declared the Branzino to be the best piece of fish she's had in the US... ever.

I had the Lasagna Verde... which was definitely the best lasagna I've had in years.

Nothing negative to say. Fantastic

A good place for small dinner parties. I went to Bucca di Beppo for the third time and the food is consistently good. The staff is wonderful. I see that there are some less than stellar reviews here and I wonder what these people were expecting - Tony's???? The prices are very reasonable. Last night we had chicken marsala and a penne pasta with shrimp. The sides were fresh vegetables and the salad was fresh ingredients also.

I highly recommend this restaurant. Bella!

Overpriced/ Remedial Italian Dining. By no stretch of the imagination is this place good. I have been to the Buffalo Speedway location twice now; once a few years back and again this past weekend.

The menu is tedious and uninspiring. There is little in the way of seafood aside from the appetizer menu. Lasagna, spaghetti, chicken, shrimp and eggplant dishes are very barebones, standard issue and yet they cost on the low end 16.95 (small order) expect to pay a minimum of 20.00 (large orders).

I went with my boyfriend and his stepfather; we had one appetizer which consisted of stuffed mushrooms (six mushrooms for 12.95) an order of garlic bread (9 dollars). What type of Italian restaurant charges for bread? I had the caprese pasta dish which was on the special menu $16.95 (small) I opted to add chicken bringing the dish up to $23.00). This dish had very little flavor, it was bland and they skimped on the fresh basil.

My boyfriend had the chicken Lemone which he said was dry and bland (it didn't come with pasta) and his step dad ordered the shrimp scampi which was another 18.95 to 20.00 dish (small order). The shrimp came in a small boat dish with a fettuccini sauce and was circled with square cut bread (no pasta). His step dad also order a side garden salad (extra $4).

Our ticket came out to 98.00 without tip.The only large dish was mine, the guys dishes were pretty small. If you want to spend this much on a quality Italian dinner then go to Cavatore a little north of the Heights.

Bucca di Beppo's staff was a little strange. We started our service with a stand in waiter who kept telling us our "actual" waiter would be arriving soon, by the time he came we had been served drinks and appetizers and his manager and stand in waiter walked him over to us. It was awkward, the manager introduced himself and he was very dull and after announcing himself he lingered for something, was it praise? We weren't sure, after a dead silence he told us to enjoy our meal and didn't see him again.

We had not complained nor did we seem unsatisfied with our stand-in waiter. It made no difference to us whatsoever who served us but the three staff members made a big production announcing every step of their change over to us.

With that out of the way, Buddy Holly was not much of a waiter if you catch my drift. Maybe the manager was playing up his role for the waiter who was more of a kid, the just out of high school probably still living at home and smoking pot kind of fellow. He was pleasant enough kid but not versed in stream-lined, professional dining service. The whole meal was a little painful and badly choreographed from the dishes to the service.

My recommendation is save your time and money and shoot for a better place in this area. Buca di Beppo gets a negative three stars for atmosphere, service, and cuisine from me, I will not be returning unless they seriously lower their prices send their management to customer relations training and improve their menu.

The best chocolate cake Ive ever had. I absolutely love this place. The food is always tasty, the service is wonderful and the environment is friendly. I feel like in an italian grandma's house with the decor and family style dining. Ive tried their lasagna and lemon chicken and mashed potatoes and they taste homemade.

If youve never tried their chocolate cake, you wil pass out: its the best chocolate cake ive ever had, and ive had alot of cake in my life. Its big enough to feed eight people, but you might eat all of it.

Join their club and they'll send you coupons every other month. Theyre in my top ten favorite places to go.

Awesome food and atmosphere!!!!!. I absolutely love this place! I've been 4 times already and am never disappointed! The food is always perfection and the wine is refreshing. Every room has a different decor and very entertaining pictures. I will definitely continue to come here and would recommend it to anyone!!!!
