The Scene – It's not just steak-and-pint night that attracts crowds at Baker's Street, a handsome, convivial English pub. Every night seems to draw Rice students on study breaks, hip moms, dudes in surgical scrubs and all ages and professions in between. You want darts? Pool? Noise? You got it. – – The Draw – If heavy food is on your hit list, you've come to the right place. In the seafood department, catch fish 'n chips, a generous portion of beer-battered Icelandic cod that's sea-fresh but a tad greasy. Chips (fries) are snappy and suitably seasoned, served alongside…

Ubiquitous cover band plays loudly, which is okay because of the large patio area and demarcation of the bar area. Seating is tricky, but free. Everyone is friendly, but somewhat repressed. Overall, a good fall-back joint for sipping or getting smashed. Didn't try the food, but who really needs that?
- Pros: good for lightweights and heavyweights
- Cons: not enough chairs for all the tables

Unless you are the type that enjoys a dinner out at Chili's or Outback Steakhouse, avoid this dump at all costs. I was lured here by the super-cheap happy hour, only to find out that Fat Tire (from Colorado) is not considered a domestic beer and is not on the happy hour. Additionally, I had a super bitchy waitress that was also a little slow on the uptake. And finally, the menu is a heart attack waiting to happen. Like I said, if you have any taste, you wouldn't like this place...
- Pros: Bad service, bad food, lame environment
- Cons: cheap crappy beers (miller, bud, coors)

I went in on a Friday night and it was slam packed! I was very surprised at how friendly and efficient the staff were with it being so busy! There was live music, a huge patio, and not to mention surprisingly good food! There was a big group of us so i figured the tab would be huge, we were all amazed at how inexpensive the food and drinks were. Not to mention, having an attractive staff didn't hurt either! WE plan to go back soon. I highly recommend!
- Pros: Staff, Atmosphere, Price, and Quality
