What People Are Saying About Front Porch Pub

In Short – A crowd of beer taps at the bar matches the crowd of drinkers on the front porch of this leisurely pub at downtown's edge. There are even more beers bottled for the beer enthusiast. Mellow out with chocolate stout against brick-and-plaster walls, or play some pool on one of the tables overlooking Gray Street. The urban-casual, 20-something crowd is multicultural, albeit conservative; men decked out in khakis, women in long skirts.
Great for good friends and good drinks

One of my favorite places to meet up with friends for a good night out. Great drinks and a friendly place!
like the "Cheers" of midtown

I work a few doors down at a restaurant and frequently my co-workers and I go to the porch after work or to eat there between shifts. We love Tony, Colin, Shannon, Caroline, James, Lauren, Bethany, Tiffany, Brooke, Stephanie and Sarah. We are in the service industry so it's nice to be taken care of after a long night of taking care of our guests. The service at Front Porch rocks. The food is really delicious and the kitchen is open until 1AM. I have been going there over a year and have only had one bad experience, just one. Every other visit has been great. It's a casual atmosphere where you see everything from shorts and flip flops to those dressed for a night of clubbing. If you haven't been, I highly recommend you try it!
- Pros: great service, 25 cent wing night on Monday, food is terrific
- Cons: they need new stuff to read on the ladies' room wall!
Good for beers with friends, not dressy, trashy
by partyhardy22
Okay so this place was pretty much a less trashy version of woodrows, but still pretty trashy compared to most of the nicer places surrounding it in the heart of midtown. first time going last night was a friday and my friend and i who are both very beautiful walked in by ourselves to check it out. There was a nice amount of people but it seemed like majority were paired off into groups and talking amongst themselves, except of course for us, and the weirdos standing alone. We relocated a couple times, bartenders weren't the greatest and they all seemed pretty stressed out. Around 12:45 a.m. a belligerent drunk elbowed my friend in the eyeball by accident and i got into it with him and nobody would kick him out. We took off to washington st. and will probably never return to the place.
- Pros: people go there
- Cons: not the type of people you want to meet
