Love this place, awesome draft list! The food is okay but it works for barren downtown.

This hugely popular Downtown destination has more beers than you could ever try in a lifetime. The bar food's not bad, either.

Got Beer? Yes!. You cannot go wrong with the Flying Saucer. Not to be confused with the Pie Company on Crosstimbers, the downtown Flying Saucer Draught Emporium is the place to be for beer. With hundreds of choices on the menu, you will find one you like. And, don’t worry if you’re an amateur. The waitresses or “Beer Goddesses” (yes they are all women) and bartenders or “Brew Crew” (mostly men) are all very knowledgeable and can help you choose your perfect brew. Join the UFO club and work your way towards getting your own saucer on the wall along with member-only discounts well worth the membership fee.

Flying saucer, will you marry me?. If you like beer, you like the flying saucer, there is no way around it. Boasting the largest selection of that beautiful beverage distilled from hops and barley, Flying Saucer is an adults candy store. All you have to do is gaze at the seemingly endless wall of taps behind the counter to know that you've arrived at your happy place, and that's only what they have on tap, they stock a much, much larger selection in singles.

Perfect for any casual occasion, you can come with a large group of friends after work, or even by yourself if you feel like unwinding and letting traffic cool down. I won't even get into how splendid their beer selection is, because I would keep you all night reading, you have to go and sample it yourself. They also offer a wide variety of foods that pair excellently with beer, I recommend the french dip and queso personally, but you really can't go wrong with anything that they serve.

One of the things that I like about this place, apart from the awesome downtown location, is the waitstaff, which is composed by very pretty young girls wearing short skirts and shirts that proudly proclaim their status as beer goddesses, catering to their audience much? While most of them are surprisingly knowledgeable, some are pretty ditsy. But hey, eye candy is always nice.

I love the Flying saucer, and the only thing that keeps it from being absolutely perfect is the difficulty to find a free parking space, but then again, it is downtown; so you can't really complain much.

Screamin Manager. I have never seen anyone scream at someone like there manager did to one of there cute waitresses.

It is disgusting how the all Male Management of this establishment treats the all Female wait staff.

Beer lovers paradise: more types of beer than you can count, great service, hot waitresses, and oh yeah beer. If you can't find a beer that fits your taste there then you better stick to water. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. I had the turkey meltdown and it was awesome, try it with bacon . It was very tasty from someone who eats turkey because he should not because he likes it says alot the mayo was the key. In fact I am from Chicago and the manager there went out of her way to tell me some great places to go to while I was in Houston as well as my waitress. Thanks again Rita and P.J.

Wow - what a selection!. If you like beer, you're gonna love Flying Saucer. To start, it's a great, laid-back atmosphere where you can be you! And then comes the good part - oh, all the beer. The only difficult thing is that there are so many to choose from you may not know where to start. But that's OK - the staff is great at helping you narrow it down. Still not sure - then simply request a quick sample. To be sure this is a great place to practice multi-culturalism...by way of beer! Kick back and enjoy a pint or 10...you'll be glad you did!

I LOVE BEER! I LOVE FLYING SAUCER!. I have recently fallen in love with beer and can't get enough! Flying Saucer has more beers than you can imagine. There are a few good ones they don't carry, such as Hoegarden, due to the distributers they use, but noone can beat them in selection. Everyday there is a $2.75 Fire Sale. On Thursday it is Tub 'O Mystery. This is cool because it essentially forces you to try something new. If you go after 9:30 or 10 pm, they have usually run out of the mystery beers and just name a good fire sale. The service is really good. You can hang out at the super long bar, get a booth or table, or chill on the couches. There is an upstairs sitting area that has a little different feel. You can also call ahead if you have a large group (20 or more) and they reserve it for free, plus the cost of your hefty bar tab. They said to call at least a week or two in advance. Parking is okay. On a weekday you can usually find a street spot within a couple blocks away. If not, there is a paid lot right across the street. You can also take the metrorail in.

Stupid Manager. guy. He wouldn't leave me alone, he kept waiving and sending me beers, which i didn't accept. But what PISED ME OFF, was that I asked the manager to make him stop, because he was being annoying, and he told me it was a free world and if I had a problem I could leave. SO I left and never come back.
