The Scene
More like a trendy San Francisco pub than a Houston hang, it exudes aggressive-yet-genuine cool. Belly up to a long bar, nuzzle against a table, nestle on a comfy couch or perch upstairs in the Pub of Love. Pierced and dreadlocked bohemians recline comfortably upon weathered sofas, while buttoned-down frat alumni take to the tables, all in peaceful coexistence.
The Draw
The 85 taps come from faraway lands and just down the road. Not only are there St. Arnold's and the usual Texas brews, there are also several from the obscure Real Ale brewery in Blanco. Try the Pale Rye Ale; it's a hoot. There's a full-bodied root beer on tap, as well as a modest but thoughtful selection of wines.

I have never seen anyone scream at someone like there manager did to one of there cute waitresses. It is disgusting how the all Male Management of this establishment treats the all Female wait staff.

If you can't find a beer that fits your taste there then you better stick to water. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable. I had the turkey meltdown and it was awesome, try it with bacon . It was very tasty from someone who eats turkey because he should not because he likes it says alot the mayo was the key. In fact I am from Chicago and the manager there went out of her way to tell me some great places to go to while I was in Houston as well as my waitress. Thanks again Rita and P.J.

If you like beer, you're gonna love Flying Saucer. To start, it's a great, laid-back atmosphere where you can be you! And then comes the good part - oh, all the beer. The only difficult thing is that there are so many to choose from you may not know where to start. But that's OK - the staff is great at helping you narrow it down. Still not sure - then simply request a quick sample. To be sure this is a great place to practice multi-culturalism...by way of beer! Kick back and enjoy a pint or 10...you'll be glad you did!
