The best hummus and tabouli I have had in my life. Always fresh and delicious. This is a great spot for a quick lunch or an outing to remember on Friday night.

Review for Skewers Cafe and Grill. I just talked my hubby into going to Skewers instead of our usual and always amazing Fadi's. We live directly behind Skewers and thought it would be nice to check out, esp after all these great ratings. I must say we were was very disappointed!!! I ordered the gyro platter. The meat was dry and the pita bread was cold and about as thin as a tortilla.The food was not anything special and definitely missing the quality that makes something worth trying a second time. I ordered the rice pudding and although tastey was merely a smear of a portion. I paid $18.00 dollars for my less than average entree and smear of a dessert. Now I am sitting here disappointed that I didn't take the 10 min drive to Fadi's which is 100 times better. With 18 dollars I could have had dinner for two plus left-overs and most importantly a very satisfied palate! I know my mediterranean and this just didnt measure up for the price! Don't waste your money.

This place got it! The food rocks, and great weekend spot. let's start with service, from the moment you walk into this place you feel special. Everyone is smiling and very friendly. I have been at Skewers twice, once at lunch and once at dinner. Both visits were good, the lunch was counter service, I had the chef special which was Eggplant with ground beef, that was delicious! I went back few days later for dinner with another couple, we had the Skewers Mezza sampler, and the dip sampler, We also shared kabobs and salads. Everything tasted perfect and was cooked right. We had some Lebanese wine which was really good for the money. My wife wanted some dessert so we got rice pudding and Baklava, that was really good as well. We were surprised to see people on the patio smoking a pipe (Hookah) we were told it was flavored tobacco. you know what happened next, the ladies wanted to try that,what an experience...Skewers we love you, you are for sure a favorite.

Best Lebanese Food in Houston. I have been at Skewers multiple times, food is great. this last visit I got a Beef Shawarma Sandwich with Humos and tabouli, yummy! the best I have had. Also the kibbe reminds me of the one my lebanese friend's mom used to make, I always have it with the cucumber and yogurt sauce they have. Great food, excellent service, and nice atmosphere. Great value for your money especially on the weekend during live entertainment.

P.S. they have belly dancing show every weekend...

Great Casual Mediterranean. Used to go to Skewers a lot around 2006 & 2007. Went back this week and they've still got it.

The chicken shawarma might be the best I've had in Houston. The meat is grilled in front, while you wait. No "rubbery" chicken. The hummus was outstanding, as was the falafel. The pita tasted fresh and they are generous with extras.

If you like healthy Greek/Mediterranean food, you should like it, and the prices are great for the area. I usually do takeout, but Skewers would be fine for a casual date before the movie or family outing.

Also, one of the girls who works there is a total goddess, but the big burly man behind the counter kind of glanced at me as if I were looking at her in the wrong way, so our romance was cut tragically short. But the customer service is great; I've never had to take a number - they just keep track of orders and find you wherever you're waiting.

Great Service, Excellent Food. This is my third time at Skewers sine the new ownership and the new menu. I have tried a lot of the food and I can truly say that it is the best mediterranean food I have had. The salads are really crispy and the flavor in the meat is really delicious. I love the service and I always end up discussing some of the recipes with the owners. It is good to find a good restaurant where someone is always making sure that everything is great.

Best Hummos and Chicken Kabob. Best Hummos and Chicken Kabob ‎

I am glad I found skewers. I love mediterranean food and especially Lebanese food. I like that everything is light and healthy. I had the chicken Kabob platter with a side of Hummos and a Greek salad: It was excellent. I can't wait to go back . Thank you Skewers and good luck for the new owners.

Great Food, Great Atmosphere. Great food, great atmosphere. The chicken and beef kabob are excellent. The hummos and tabouli are definitely the best in town. I highly recommend this restaurant.

the new owners have changed the restaurant around, and hired a new chef as well as new staff, there is also a new menu and beer and wine now.

Great Mediterranean Food. First time in on Friday evening. I am very impressed with the food and the atmosphere. I had the lamb chops and my wife had the kabob combination, the food was great especially that we had a good bottle of Lebanese wine ( first to me that there is wine in Lebanon).

In Summary good food, and good prices. We will be going back...

Best Mediterranean Food in town!. My compliments to the chef, the food was amazing and I enjoyed every bite. One of the few places in town to serve lebanese homestyle dishes, and the only place that can compete with my mom's cooking!

This place has become my hang out spot, it's close to work so I can grab lunch all the time, the menu has a huge variety and over 15 different sides to choose from, I've been there so many times and I still have so much more I want to try!

Good food, Good selection of beer and wine and nice people, what more could you want.
