Editorial Review for St. Pete's Dancing Marlin – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Dancing Marlin baits a young, after-work crowd of males who prefer to take their food and drink at the sprawling bar. Or opt for a seat in one of the towering dining rooms decked with beer signs, fishing trophies and funky mismatched chairs. The menu is seafood-based with a Greek twist. Try authentic Greek salad and baklava, or the catfish platter with two crisp fillets, fries, and kicked-up corn and bell pepper hushpuppies. For initial noshing, catch Clem's truly colossal shrimp or cold-water blue point oysters in the raw.

As the Concierge at the Magnolia Hotel, I came to dine and the food was just sub-par. This regular American cusine is nothing great. The Service is great, however the food suffers! Don't waste your time or money. -Magnolia Concierge

Pros: Service

Cons: Bad Food!

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

My date and I had heard great things about St. Pete's from an email newsletter we both receive and much to our surprise, everything we read was true. From start to finish, we had a great experience. The atmosphere was fun and after dinner we stuck around to hear a great band they had playing in their bar area. We ate dinner, had drinks (not expensive, over-priced weak drinks like other places downtown) & really enjoyed our night out. Because he took me there I agreed to a second date with him!

Pros: candle-lit tables, scrumptious food, didn't have to wait for a table

Cons: not open on Sunday
