Editorial Review for Bolivar Peninsula (Crystal Beach) – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
It's just a 20-minute cruise between the island and Port Bolivar; the perfect vantage point for seeing the Houston Ship Channel in action. Crystal Beach is the largest of the peninsula's five communities, and sees the most tourists for fishing, crabbing or shelling. There's more of a party atmosphere on Crystal Beach, though families are still welcome. Drinking is allowed, as are campfires, grills and vehicles.

Look Good

Take your group to the side edge of the ferry and watch the dolphins cavorting in the waves. But don't feed the seagulls; it's prohibited.
