Long ago this dynamic temperament transformed what used to be just another swamp into the nation's fourth-largest city, world energy center, & nucleus of outer-space exploration. Just in case you didn't know, the first words spoken from the famous moon broadcast were: Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed, so you can probably guess that there's no such thing as a humble Texan! Just as fittingly, there's nothing humble about Houston Hard Rock Cafe. Located in the glittery theater district, a 35-foot replica of the Stevie Ray Vaughn Gibson Firebird guitar lights your way to the Houston Hard Rock Cafe. The Astros, Rockets, Aeros, Comets and Texans all call Houston home, plus tons of Cajun, zydeco, blues & country music fans that wouldn't live anywhere else. Hard Rock Cafe Houston! We'll launch you into a whole new dimension. Plan your next event at Hard Rock Cafe Houston.

In Short
Walls covered with decades of Top-40 memorabilia, rock songs blaring in the background and an all-American menu typify this music-themed restaurant. The kitchen churns out group-friendly appetizers like nachos and Southern staples like barbecue ribs and chicken. Burgers are served with hefty sides of fries and the signature pulled-pork sandwich is topped with vinegar barbecue sauce. The gift shop sells branded items like T-shirts, shot glasses and hats.

First experience a few months ago was not good, so we gave it a 2nd chance tonight. Even worse! They weren't able to take a drink order from our party of 15 all at once. It took 50 MINUTES before food orders could be placed. By that time, I'd given up, because we had tickets to an event and couldn't wait. The waitstaff was rude. Not sure if the food is worthwhile, since only 2 of the group decided to order. Surely there are better places nearby than the Hard Rock Cafe in Bayou Place. Very disappointing.

Went there for lunch, place wasn't busy at all but it took 30 min to get a few appetizers. Three of us all thought it's way over priced. I paid $9 for a few pieces of soggy bread with way too much garlic and sour tomatoes. Bruschetta ...... I don't THINK SO! Chicken Tenders were crusted with something really hot and spicy and flat as pancakes. Order a side of fries? Well there were a few and I mean a few in a bowl. The potato skins were OK. Well I can tell you we won't be going back to this Hard Rock place.
