In Short – A mix of beachgoers and locals crowd in at the ice cream parlor or vie for tables in the beachside-hued, multilevel dining room. Orders are placed at the counter from a menu of Gulf Coast seafood (mostly fried), third- and half-pound burgers, po'boys and sandwiches with a choice of toppings, chili, soup in a bread bowl, salads and baked potatoes. The outdoor tiki bar has a great view of the water and is a favorite for the biker set and cheap happy hours.
Great burger and more joint
by wadester
Good place for a big hamburger, or a really good oyster & shrimp po-boy, at reasonable prices. My fiancee mentioned her hamburger bun could have been a little softer. My po-boy was great. They have really good onion rings here, and an upstairs outside patio facing the ocean. When you pick up your order, there's a vegetable island near the counter, where you can add extra tomatoes, lettuces, mayo, onions, jalapenos, etc.
What a great view of they bay, while having a good lunch. They have a tiki bar on one end downstairs, and the food ordering on the other end. Very popular with the Harley bikers.
- Pros: Fresh burgers and seafood sandwiches
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST RESTAURANT IN GALVESTON AND MAYBE HOUSTON!!!
by VonHall1
THIS "SPOT" IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST GRUB ON THE ISLAND OF GALVESTON! I'LL EVEN PUT THE "SPOT" UP AGAINST ANY HAMBURGER SPOT IN HOUSTON OR ANYWHERE. ANYTHING YOU GET ON THE MENU IS AWSOME AND THE BUNS ARE FRESHED BAKED DAILEY. EVEN THE SEAFOOD AT THE "SPOT" IS AWSOME ALONG WITH THE SALADS! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND "THE SPOT" AND DON'T GO TO GALVESTON WITHOUT EATING HERE!!!
- Pros: THE ENTIRE MENU AND THE DESSERTS ARE GREEEAAAT!
- Cons: CROWNDED AT PEAK TIMES (JUST MEANS PLACE IS DAMN GOOD)!
Best burgers, fries, pina coladas

Tried out The Spot a few months ago. Definitely some of the best burgers we've had! Great waffle fries and awesome pina coladas served in young coconuts. Can't wait to return.
- Pros: Above average burgers, fries, and pina coladas
- Cons: Very popular place - tons of noisy kids
