Editorial Review for Slainte Irish Pub – by Citysearch Staff

In Short
This Main Street pub mates Ireland of old with a younger, hipper downtown feel. Business types and overflow crowds from Astros games occupy the downstairs while a younger contingent dances to DJs upstairs in the Ruby Room. A pool table and dartboard keep sports enthusiasts occupied downstairs. Premium draught beers and Irish whiskeys are the main attraction. Open for lunch and dinner, the menu features Irish and international dishes such as Celtic egg rolls, fish-and-chips and custom pizzas.

New Name...Molly's Pub...Great Party Bar...Great bartenders and lots of flat screen televisions to watch the games on.

Pros: True Irish Pub...Best Drink Specials on Main

Really to call this place an IRISH pub is a travesty. After the bar tender informed me that they did not carry Chimay even though their website said they did, I ordered a Guinness. It was by far the flattest, most spoiled beer I have ever tasted. They changed out the keg and the next glass was still horrible. The balcony upstairs is fun, but there aren't a lot of chairs. Go here if you are drunk already and want to drink bud light after a baseball game. Don't go if you want a nice beer.

Pros: Nice balcony

Cons: Bad beer, Poor service
