Honestly people.... ok as i agree with the fact that there are a ton of kids on the weekends and yes they can be a pain... I ask you this what did you expect? go during the week if you get a chance it very nice then really nobody there ... I love amc the 3d is great as well as the IMAX never had any bad service there ... Keep this in mind if you cant stand the kids it meens your to old to be there at those times stop whining get over it ... AMC YOU KICK ASS!!!!!!!!
WORST movie theater EVER!!!. Where do I start? Well, the thing that bothers me the most about this place are the teenagers that hang around outside the theater acting stupid. Why do they do this? Seriously, did you come to see a movie or to waste your youth hanging outside, waiting to be seen in your trashy ghetto looking clothes? Then when you think you're going to finally enjoy your movie, these teeny boppers decide they also want to be part of the action by coming back and fourth making loud noises, texting and talking really loud. This is the worst movie theater ever!
excellent customer service!!!!. great seating courteous staff made for a great expeirence
Multiplex and megaplex theater chain shows mainstream movies in a plush setting..
In Short
In 1920, Edward Durwood opened a single-screen picture house in Kansas City, Mo. Over the next 40 years, his company went on to pioneer the use of four- and six-screen theaters. In 1969, the company incorporated as American Multi-Cinema Inc. in honor of its signature multiplexes. Now, the company is known for theaters with 14 or more screens, as well as innovations such as armrests with built-in cup holders, stadium seating with LoveSeats, ATM-style ticketing and online ticket purchasing.
Overall good experiences. I used to live about ten minutes away from AMC Gulf Pointe and I went there all the time. There's lots of kids and teens on weekend nights, but there are cops there to keep the peace. Parking was ample. The theater itself was nice, with comfortable reclining stadium seats. Now that I've moved across town, I kinda miss it.
WHAT TO DO???.
This place has decent pretty much everything, but there is always one MAJOR problem; especially with this theater.
Why do people choose to arrogantly, selfiishly text and talk throughout the movies? I have told MANY people "shhhhhhh", and then get to a point where I am yelling "SHUT UP" in the theater, along with others who are sick of this stupidity. What else is there to do, because the whole "Please don't add your own soundtrack" (and the new advertisement with the famous director coming in to impede on your phone call at home... that one REALLY doesn't work on idiots; especially after seeing so many lame t.v. commercials, which I will get into later), because that is obviously not working.
USE USHERS. You can pay people minimum wage to sit in and hang out and say "SHHHHH" if people are talking, or "please turn that off" when people are texting; then going over to them if they continue to do so and ask them politely to leave. WHAT WOULD YOU RATHER DO: annoy one person because they are annoying about 30 people, or have the 30 people not want to come back the next week?? it's called Good Business to get those 30 repeat customers, who probably have more money to spend than the tacky talkers and texters, to come back the next week instead of them going, "Nah; let's just wait until it goes to DVD".
Even if ushers go in a movie for about an hour (or a half hour), then on to another one, then back for another hour or so it is not nearly as distracting going in and out (as people will do to use the restroom, get snacks, etc...) as it is for some childish people to not be able to shut up and feel the need to run their mouths, or their little fingers, for 2 hours. It is stupid and the reason why many don't care to go to any theaters anymore. PAY USHERS.
Now the commercials... First of all, you need to run more stuff instead of the same over and over before the movie. Secondly, NO T.V. COMMERCIALS AT ALL because they are annoying enough at home.
AMC 30 is the place to go!. AMC 30 is flat out the King of all theatres! The building itself is beautiful and the seats are the most comfortable things. The theatres are really cold so you'll never get hot, just bring a sweater or something. The picture and sound quality is great. You'll have no complaints.
Very Disappointing. My first time to this theatre was very disappointing. The temperature of the theatre was extremely warm. The movie was shaking the entire film and was very uncomfortable to watch. After spending over $30 on two tickets and popcorn I left very unhappy. I will never go back.
Da Bomb. Great place to go and see a movie. comfortable seats, fresh popcorn, cold cokes and GREAT sound.
