Beats the competition in the area!. I've lived in the Clear Lake area for over 11 years. This was the first Thai place I ate at when I moved down and is still my favorite. Their Pad Kee Mao at the highest tier of spicyness is incredible! My lunch partner loves their Pad See Ew at 3 pepper as well. I've tried other dishes there and they all were delicious. They have a great spice tray with crushed peanuts, chili paste, roasted & crushed Thai chilis and chilis in fish sauce and lemon juice that they'll gladly bring if you ask. I love their custard on sweet rice... but it's a little "alien" to those who are used to more traditional "American" deserts. The owner, her brother and the head waitress always treat us with respect and like to kid around. I think that some people mistake their humor for rudeness. I definately recommend this place for authentic, fresh Thai food. On some occasions, like Valentine's Day for one, they'll offer multi-course meals and don't offer regular menu items. While that's not my idea of a great dining experience, I think that's pretty cool. Their lunch specials cover the gamut of traditional Thai dishes and change depending on the day of the week. I feel that for the amount of food you get, they're reasonably priced. They also seem to be open to customizing dishes. Thai Cottage down the road used to be pretty good, but has fallen off pretty bad the past year or so. The last 4 times there, I was sorely disappointed. Thai Lemmongrass is a joke... and thanks to Hurricane Ike, Merlion in Kemah is no more.

Recommended Items: Yum Num Tock, Cheese Rolls, Po Peah Nung, Po Peah Tod, Tom Yum, Tom Kha, Pla Nard Prik, Scallops Prik Pao, All the Ga Pao Dishes, Pad Kee Mao, Pad See Ew, Pad Thai

Really, there are too many to list... Just check it out. Keep in mind, for the most part, this is authentic Thai. If you're not experimental with your cuisine, you may come away with a less than favorable opinion.

Terrific Thai!. My oldest daughter, a genuine "foodie," turned our family on to Thai Seafood several years ago, and we've been going ever since. The food is fabulous and beautifully presented, and the service superb. And while the atmosphere is quietly elegant, you'll feel just as welcome in jeans and a T-shirt as you will in your on-the-town attire.

great thai food. Thai Seafood is an awesome restaurant. For all of you people whop say Thai Cottage is better must have never eaten good thai food. Thai cottage is the worst thai restaurant ever. Thai seafood is small, but the servers are always nice and the food is always fresh and delicious. I love thai food, pad thai is probably my favorite dish ever and they make it very well. There is only one other Thai restaurant I like better and it's too far for me to go to very often. Oh and by the way they do give refills on soda so I don't know what that other person was talking about. The price is another thing people were complaining about ans I think they are actually cheap. My favorite Thai restaurant is double the price they are. If you can't afford to go out, then don't.

You have to be desperate to eat here!. What a disappointment! Very slow poor service. The waitress was extremely rude. We waited over an hour to be served dinner, and then not everyone in our party was served at the same time. The food was bland and tasteless - and this was Thai food! There are other restaurants in the area; you would do better to patronize them.

Editorial Review. Spicy curries, pad Thai, roasted duck, spring rolls and other traditional Thai dishes are served up by this longstanding sit-down Clear Lake eatery.

real thai foods, great customer service, closed on monday. The Dutch proverb says Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, because everyone has a different preference on about almost everything. Thai Seafood Restaurant offers the authentic beauty of Thai foods. The foods are made to be as how they should be like in Thailand. With this, the foods here are a little spicier and from this, they taste and smell better. Other Thai restaurants, like Thai Sawaddee and Thai Cottage, purposely modified their Thai foods to be like by Americans beholder. Of course, their foods also taste good, but how the foods taste no longer contain the uniqueness of Thai foods. I am a Thai myself, and I eat at Thai Seafood Restaurant almost every Sunday. Thai Seafood Restaurant is where you should go if you ever want to eat authentic Thai foods in America; else you should really go to Thailand just to eat Thai foods.

Oh remember that when youre going to any restaurant, you are living to eat. So you should not complain about price, because the price here is a little more expensive that other Thai restaurants.

Bad food & service. I'll not recommend or go back to this place again. What's the deal with Pest control, don't they have one? It's hard to find any restaurants that will not offer free refills for sodas & here is one. The waitress can't even understand the language. The only good thing is coconut ice cream but even that will not make us going back. There is another Thai restaurant in the area that has better food & service. Too much competiton & this one doesn't cut it for me.

disappointed. We decided to try this place since a lot of people were saying it was good. However, we were unhappy with the quality of the food we got. We had lunch and got pad thai and a seafood dish. The thai noodles with sauce in a box I buy at the grocery store was much better than my lunch at Thai seafood. The best part of the meal was dessert-the coconut ice cream with fried bananas. We won't return here. Thai cottage is by far and away the best we've had so far.
