The worst graduation celebration experience at Red Lobster.
We took our family to this Red Lobster on Bay Area Blvd in Clear Lake area to celebrate our child highschool graduation. The food and service is okay, but not that great, actually the service is a kind of slow, horrible manager.
Here is the worst experience...as part of the graduation celebration, I brought a half sheet graduation cake to the restaurant, so after the dinner our family could share and congrats. After one of my child passed out about 5 or 6 small pieces of cake to our reatives and friends, we chat for a little while then got up and left shortly after that. We were happy, excited and went outside the restaurant without the cake. We actually in front of the restaurant for about 15 - 20min to take pictures. Then I remember that we left the cake in the restaurant. We knock on the door to try get the cake back, but there was no cake left, they ate it all, the Red Lobster employee included the lady manager. While waiting at the door we saw several employee through the door wiping and covering their mouth while running around in the store. They ate it all !!!
They could have asked us if we still want the cake, before they decided to eat it, it's not that we left and went home.
It's not just a cake but it's my child graduation cake!!!
We are very disappointed the way that the manager handle the situation. She could have state a nice apology, instead starr at us and said "we thought you didn't want it" . she made me felt that it was my fault that I left it behind, yes we forgot but we at the front door still.
How can we not want ing our child graduation cake!!! Think Red Lobster, think manager!!!
Our family, relatives and friends will not ever go to red lobster again, especially this red lobster on bay area, we can go to Carraba, Joe's crab, olive garden which has way better food and service.
Casual crustacean-inspired chain serves up diet-defying seafood dishes in a family-friendly environment..
In Short
Live lobsters wriggle in a tank inside this seafood emporium, where nautical-patterned booths and colorful, fish-shaped tables in the bar area add subdued touches of whimsy to the room's classy dark wood accents. The menu can be downright decadent, with starters of artichoke lobster dip, seafood fondue, and crab-stuffed mushrooms. Entrees feature lighter, grilled fare like mahi-mahi and North Atlantic sea scallops, along with signature lobster dishes, snow crab legs, and jumbo fried shrimp platters.
Good food, good atmosphere and good service. Slightly pricey and somewhat popular.. My daughter and I went there on a gift card and had a good time. The food was good but not really any more than we expected. The service was also what we would expect from a casual, family dining experience. I would go there again for casual seafood but if I wanted a true dining experience, I would keep looking. This restaurant is located in the bay area and with the seafood industry right here, there are many seafood restaurants where you can get a significant dining experience for about the same price.
