We visited the Red Lobster on West Bay Area Blvd., Webster, TX on Wednesday October 15, 2008.We were treated with total indifference by the Hostess and she displayed an air of disgust when asked if we might sit in the non-smoking section on the left side of the restaurant. While we are not frequent regulars, we do eat at this location several times/yr. And we know that Larry is a top shelf bartender and the food is always good. On this occasion, we sat from 6:33 pm until 6:41 pm without ever being acknowledged by anyone. A server working the tables behind and beside us never said a word and neither did several servers who walked past our table. We were not offered water or anything to drink. We were totally ignored. Finally we left and told the 4 employees standing around at the host stand that we did not have anyone say anything to us or offer us water or a drink. We looked at servers and employees walking past and they just kept walking.I am looking forward to your comments.

My daughter and I went there on a gift card and had a good time. The food was good but not really any more than we expected. The service was also what we would expect from a casual, family dining experience. I would go there again for casual seafood but if I wanted a true dining experience, I would keep looking. This restaurant is located in the bay area and with the seafood industry right here, there are many seafood restaurants where you can get a significant dining experience for about the same price.
