Tips for Gringo's

Gringo's is THE best. Went with my family to Gringo's last week/10/20/2011 and had the best Tortilla Soup I've ever eaten. Called in for take out on 10/22 for family and had a smorgasbord of great Mexican food. While I live in Ohio I come to Friendswood frequently to visit my family and will be back to Gringo's for great food and great service. Thank you

AVERAGE. Gringos is convenient since there arent too many places on this side of town.

The food is good but not great. I think it's just average. Service is hit and miss.

Never Coming Back. Me and my fiance came into to eat (we ate at Gringos frequently) ordered our food, ate it, got our check and left. We made it a little way down the road when he realized he forgot his cell phone on the table. He calls it using mine and it rings a few times. The 3rd time it goes straight to voice mail (someone turned it off). We get there, go inside, and we are immediately approached by a waiter (not our own waiter but one that had walked by our table a few times) and he asked "whats up?" when nothing was mentioned to him or anyone else yet about coming back for our phone. It all seemed a bit suspicious. Needless to say my fiance never got his phone back and I never received a call on mine in reguards to it. The manager did not seem to care and didn't offer anything to make the situation better for us. We go to other Gringos but we totally boycott this particular location. If you go please keep your valuables within sight.

Good Tex-Mex food for a chain restaurant. If you go to other chain restaurants for Tex-Mex, I would say that this is the best out of all of them. The fajitas meat is juicy and lean - no fat and very tasty and moist. Their Silver Star margarita is excellent - they don't skimp on the tequila here! The chips are not greasy (tastes almost like bake) but it's very nice. We love to go to this place when we have cravings for Tex-Mex.

Best Tex-Mex around!!. Excellent food! My very favorite is the Pollo Marisco, no other TexMex can compare. The "Cobb" salad would be my next favorite. I have never had bad service at the one in Pearland or any of the other's. There is sometimes a waiting list, but I won't wait more than 30 min. anywhere and I never had to wait more than that at Gringo's.

Editorial Review. Traditional Mexican seafood, steaks and Tex-Mex is served up in this colorful and affordable eatery.

Great Green Sauce. I love the GREEN SAUCE, the chips, and the fajitas!!!! The only thing that I didn't like about the one in Pearland is they close too early

Fantastic green sauce, Terrible service. Pearland location: Food is fantastic. The bar is commonly the fastest way to eat. Either way the service is terrible. The bartenders ignore you and the waitstaff likes to disappear for long periods at a time. I can't tell you the number of times I've had my food comped.

It's sad that it's only the food that brings me back.

All other locations have wonderful service!

Oh and the chips taste store bought!

I hope that the new location at 288 & 518 has great service so we won't have to make the drive to 45!

Great!. Since my first visit to this Pearland institition in 1993, I have found the food to be very consistent, affordable, and overall just plain good. The new building decor is outstanding. My favorite is the Toro room with the authenic bullheads. My favorite dish is the Pollo Marisco - rather than me describing it, just try it! Go early or go late becaus ethe place is always busy - very busy!

The Best. This is the BEST Mexican Food Restaurant in Houston. The Fajitas are expecially good.
