hit and miss. I've been here numerous times and have had to go food.

I will never ever dare to attempt the eggplant parmesan again. The first time I had it the skin on it was so hard it could barely be cut through with a knife!

I find some of the food a little overpriced for what you get unless it is a lunch special.

However, the other items I've had have great flavor. The burgers are great and so is the spaghetti. I really like the feel of eating in with the older themed decor and the bottled lemonade, rootbeer they have.

We will always return. Just no eggplant!

Overrated. I think I need to bring this to Pearlands attention! The food at big humphrys is nothing short of average, but what put me right off was the disgusting way that the whole vitale family handles their staff! in front of partons! Lisa Vitale and her mother are RUDE, ARROGANT, SELF CENTERED, COMBATIVE PEOPLE! IT PUT ME OFF EVER EVER EATING THERE! GROW UP LISA! YOU DONT OWN A STAR RATED RESTAURANT, YOU OWN A DINER AND IF YOU WANT TO ATTRACT DECENT FOLK GET OFF THE PEDESTAL YOU PUT YOURSELVES ON AND TREAT PEOPLE WITH RESPECT! HOW MANY STAFF HAVE WALKED OUT ON YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE RUDE AND TREAT THEM LIKE DIRT!

Disappointing.... My wife and I were looking for a local pizza/Italian restaurant to frequent as we despise the cheap, fast food pizza places i.e. Dominos, Papa Johns, Little Ceasars, Pizza Hut, etc. Surpirisingly, the pizza here was very average and the price was way above average. Try Fuzzy's or Star Pizza in Houston for better pizza and price, unfortunately they are a long way from Pearland and obviously don't deliver out here. Not real impressed with customer service/friendliness, either. Bottom line: Just not what we expected from a 'Mom & Pop' type place that has to compete with corporate America's marginalized Italian...

Slow service for frozen food.. To be fair I did try this place twice. Once on a Friday and once on a Wednesday. I received slow service when the place was packed and when it was empty. The pizza was okay but I can get a better flavor with Freshetta Pizza. The lasagna tasted like it had been frozen and reheated. Oh well, off to find better Italian.

Eclectic décor at this local favorite includes '40-era wrestling photos and promo posters of owner Jasper Vitale's father, the namesake Big Humphrey. The menu features Sicilian recipe favorites like eggplant Parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, and a house favorite deluxe pizza--a thick crust made fresh daily and topped with every manner of meat, veggie and a handful of anchovies. Also on the menu are some Texan treats like chicken fried steak and a popular half-pound burger sided by crispy French fries.

Alot of food for not-alot of price!. Great food, fast-friendly service. The only negative was the waitress forgot to mention the dinner special for that night (shrimp and crawfish over pasta), which I would have gotten if I had known. But the food is good and I would still go back.

good pizza. May family and I happened upon this restaruant last night when we were in the Pearland area and hungry for dinner. Big Humphrey's serves up an excellent pizza. The crust is crisp and chewy and there's lots of sauce, and the pizza is not greasy at all. The service was friendly and the candles on the table added a nice ambiance. Also the owner's family was dining in that night and it was nice to see how much they enjoy the food they make and how happy it made them that we liked the pizza! We'll go back next time we make a trip down there.

HUGE BEEFY BURGERS!. Located in Pearland Texas one of the Best Hamburgers and Pizza's you can get! Family owned. Gets packed easily.
