“Overall the service is good, the food is cheap, but don't be expecting ANYTHING that could be considered anywhere close to avant garde.”
“It's good casual dining, and seating is quick.”
our experience. My daughter and myself went to this resturant about a month ago.. So I was telling my husband when we were trying to decide where to eat Sat. We drove 55 miles to come eat at this resturant. It is very good food.We had a young mexican girl as our waitress, she never did tend to us.We kept having to ask for everything we needed. When we paid we gave a tip more than the 10% and she came back up to the front to her friends and started laughing saying they gave me .......for a tip! I was so embrassed, she didnt care if we heard her.I almost told her if you would of done your job you would of earned more.I felt like just saying give me back the money. This was the only thing I seen wrong, poor customer service.
Great food, great service.
not dirty at all, very nice place.

EXCELLENT mexican food. I am from Louisiana and have visited Iguana Joe's in Baytown TX a good handful of times. Always the service is great, food is awesome and I leave feeling very full because I ate everything because it was so good. They have the best salsa around, the green guacamole sauce is to die for and thier cheese dip is wonderful. I ate there recently and had the stuffed deep fried avacadoes...YUM!! They were deep fried and had chicken (or u can have beef) with all this ooey gooey cheese inside. OH, heaven! I wish I had one closer to me.
Nice and Average. Seating is always prompt as is the service throughout your stay at the restaurant. Chips and dip are quite...normal and the food is a little bland, although quite satisfactory in delivery (as the blandness is intentional). It seems that the food was made this way so that anyone could enjoy it. Overall the service is good, the food is cheap, but don't be expecting ANYTHING that could be considered anywhere close to avant garde.
This is the place!.
Iguana Joe's has the usual Tex-Mex selection, plus a few items on the menu that are distinct.
It's good casual dining, and seating is quick. It seems as if they're always nearly full, but never completely, so you're usually seated immediately.
A big surprise is the speed at which your food is served. Not like a fast-food place, of course, but faster than most real restaurants and even faster than spots like Dairy Queen and What-a-burger. But this is real food, not fast food.
The best surprise is the price. Items are priced mostly between $5 and $12. Order one of the wraps! You'll be full with just one, yet it's the cheapest thing on the menu.
They're convenient and fun. The new location, just a block north of the old one, has even more room, better separation between the smoking and non-smoking sections, and (finally) enough parking.
