Going down hill. Frequently out of menu items, veg not fresh, bad service, stingy with bread&jam. Treat women dining alone in a discriminating manner.
A little ole' country general store serving down-home foods and goods since 1969..
In Short
Originating in Lebanon Texas, this country store and restaurant has branched out all over the U.S. The décor includes old advertising signs, farm equipment, early kitchen appliances and photos which complement the country-style seating. Their menu includes home-style comfort foods like meatloaf and house-made mashed potatoes daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make sure to stop into the gift shop for souvenirs and a variety of knick-knacks.
Don't waste your time or money...... Interestingly bad. I could not in good faith recommend this CB to anyone. There weren't that many people in there when my daughter and I got there for lunch or after for that matter. Basically, the waiter delivered our food and that was about it. The bread was cold, ALL of the food was cold as if it had been sitting out for half an hour. The hashbrown casserole tasted like it was from the day before. I said something about it and the waiter never said a word and just walked off. The portions were miniscule also. I remember going to this location years ago. If you got there early during breakfast, you were probably going to get some pretty good food. Anything after that is like they sent experienced cook and waitstaff home. The fact that is has a little novelty shop doesn't add to the experience. Others might be good, this one is one to avoid.
not good. 3 words---don't do it. The service was terrible, food nasty. Just don't waste your money.
Worst CB I have visited. I have been to several Cracker Barrels around the country, and wouldn't you know, the one I moved next to is the worst by far. The service is terrible and the food is mediocre at best. Skip this one.
Very very good. The country home-cooked breakfasts at Cracker Barrel are the best around. Everything is freshly made, and the service is very good. There's always a crowd, but while you're waiting, the gift shop is awesome. It's a great place to find gifts, or the unusual item from yesterday and today. Eating there is always a fun experience.
