Editorial Review for Cadillac Bar – by Citysearch Staff

In Short
The Cadillac Bar's Tex-Mex menu includes combination plates, enchiladas and fajitas. Two distinct areas provide diners with varied entertainment options. Sit in the relatively quiet downstairs bar for a great view of the Bay and Boardwalk people watching. Upstairs is a little more chaotic with a distinct party atmosphere and a stage for live bands. Tightly packed tables surround a small dance space while the bar does a brisk business in frozen margaritas.

I love the large super nachos here. They come with beef, beens, cheese, plenty of guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo sauce. Plus you have the added benefit of watching the boats cruise thru the Kemah harbor from your seaside table. Great combination, in my book. ......I used to be skeptical of Landry's-owned establishments, but they have really made a 180 degree turn around with the service at their restaurants lately. Good going, Landry's.

Pros: Great view, friendly service, hot & spicy food

Cons: Parking can be over-crowded at the Boardwalk

Terrible service even while sitting at the bar. Mid day and no one eating and still service was horrible. $13 for nachos and only had 6 chips on a plate. They didn't taste bad but at $2 per chip they should have been the best ever. I will never go back and I live here. What a way to welcome out of towners!!!!! There are too many great places to eat in the Houston region to be taken advantage of with high prices for tiny portions and to top it off with a bartender/server that was too busy playing behind the bar to take care of the 3 customers sitting there. Go anywhere but here.

Pros: watching boats go by

Cons: price, portion size, service
