Editorial Review for The Crab House – by Andrea Loera

The Scene
Modeled after an Atlantic coast lighthouse, the Crab House's exterior hints at the seafood delights within. The restaurant's playful decor features brightly colored wooden fish, shoreline knickknacks and kid-friendly furnishings. Large windows throughout allow diners uninterrupted views of the Bay.

The Food
The menu provides a few beef, pasta and chicken dishes, but the main focus is on the catch of the day . and crabs of course. Start with the decadent crab dip-creamy and loaded with crab-or a bowl of the smoky New England clam chowder. Fresh fish can be prepared with a signature topping, including lump crab meat and avocado, or Pontchartrain sauce with crab and shrimp in a light cream sauce. Shrimp lovers should sample the combo with crab-stuffed, grilled and en brochette shrimp. For some variety, the all-you-can-eat fresh seafood and salad bar with oysters on the half-shell, steamed shrimp, crab, marinated mussels and smoked salmon is fairly priced.

The menu was a little pricey for the quality of seafood. Service was a little slow especially since it was a slow night overall for customers. Patio seating is nice. Band was nice. Just another average "Joe's"

My first visit to The Crab House was a splendid one. It was a work related event so there were about 40 of us. The table was set up to accommodate us perfectly. I believe Julie and Rania were our servers. They were very knowledgable and worked very well as a team. The manager visited our table several times and was very kind. We did not have to wait long for anything. Our Group started off with a salad, followed by clam chowder , and soon after a meal of our choice. The food was fantastic, Service was by far the best I've had in a long time. I would highly recommend The Crab House to all of my friends and family.

Pros: Scenery, Service!!!!
