A look back at the flying machines used during WWII. – The Experience
Most of what's in this hangar of a museum dates from World War II, and it's all in mint flying condition. In fact, the planes take to the air regularly, in shows based at Scholes Field and elsewhere in the region. Bombers, fighter planes and reconnaissance craft dominate the exhibits, which include wall displays teeming with period artifacts and photos.
Allow more time than you normally would for such a trip; the combined effect of so many historic relics can be captivating.
