Poor Customer Service

by Leelee84 at Citysearch

Moody Gardens is a great place for children and families who love the idea of having a rainforest and an aquarium in one location. However, the employees that work there can sometimes be rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. In addition, make sure you get to Moody Gardens early in the day to enjoy all of the pyramids! They are suppose to close at 8:00 p.m., but we saw some employees closing at 7:20 and 7:45. p.m.

  • Pros: exhibits
  • Cons: pricey and employees are rude!

Good, but not at the price you pay!

by moormanm at Citysearch

I have to say that we loved Moody Gardens! It was a nice family outing and I'd go again if it weren't so darn expensive! If it were actually available at the price listed above (which is currently showing $14.95-I plan to write in to make sure they correct that), it would be great! I'd say that $15-20 is a fair price for a day out at Moody Gardens. However, the fact that it actually costs twice that is what makes it a poor value. The $4.95-$14.95 listed above is only for separate attractions; that price would not allow you to see the whole park, only 1 part, such as the Aquarium, the Beach or one of the theaters. Entrance to Moody Gardens as a whole costs $40.00! Now when you're getting into the range of Six Flags or Schliterbahn, or a similar attraction, you'd better have as much to offer. Moody Gardens does not. I'd recommend it at a lower price but until they fix their prices, I'd say you'd find a better value elsewhere.

  • Pros: Impressive, nice facilities.
  • Cons: Way too expensive!

Overall Waste of Money

Enjoyed the 3D Imax, Aquarium, and Rainforest. The Paddleboat, Adventure Ride, and Discovery Zone were a waste of time and money.

  • Pros: 3D Imax, Aquarium, Rainforest
  • Cons: Pricing/Value, Paddleboat, Adventure Ride
