“The staff was friendly, helpful and very nice.”
“The furniture was cheap, the beds were uncomfortable and the blankets were cheap, uncomfortable, and had holes and cigarette burns all over them.”
nice and cozy. i came to this hotel with my husband for our honeymoon. when we came to check in the desk person who helped us out was very wonderful and helpful. the room as nice and cozy. we had a room over looking one of the pool and had a really great view of the beach. when we need more towels they were brought to us every fast. everyone was so nice and helpfull. the breakfast was really great and the hours were great. we will be coming back next year. cant wait to have my family come down for our family trip. i will be coming back here alot
had the time of their life!. We have been bringing our family here for years and have enjoyed every time this year was special we brought out elderly parents and they had the time of their life!
Trashy. The room was pretty small, but adequate and having a small kitchen was nice since we had 3 kids, but for the price, the accommodations were very poor. The furniture was cheap, the beds were uncomfortable and the blankets were cheap, uncomfortable, and had holes and cigarette burns all over them. The TV in the bedroom didn't work at all and the TV in the living room kept changing channels sporadically during shows and movies that we paid extra for. The pool was okay, but I was afraid that one of the kids would swollow some of the water and get sick, because it was so cloudy. Just not what I would expect for the price. I have stayed in much nicer hotels all over the country for half the price. I would not stay here again.
Best Hotel on the Beach!. Recently stayed at the Victorian Hotel at which time it was under construction. Regardless of the hammering, the birds were still loud and the wind was blowing which knocked out the noise factor. The staff was all smiles and wanting to help you. There were lots of things to do at the Victorian and all along the beach. Since the Victorian is on the Beach, it made it the "perfect" get a way. Thank you Victorian Staff Members for all that you did to help our vacation be one to remember. I do not know who wrote CONSTRUCTION review...they must have other problems because the Victorian hotel was exceptional to us. The meals were great too! Roxanne
Best Hotel on the Island. I was there this past weekend and had a ball. The staff was friendly, helpful and very nice. Anything we needed the got for me, or were able to tell me where to get it. The rooms are great! they are apartments with lots of space. The pools and especially the kids pool were amazing. We enjoyed ourselves there very much. The whole stay ther was a time to remember, everyone was great and the view from the rooms were exceptional!
Construction zone. My wife and I love the old world charm Of Galveston Island. We like it so much that we are planning to retire there, and we spend several long weekends per year. Both of the condo's we normally stay at had no available rooms so we decided to give the Victorian a try. First of all the property was under heavy construction which meant the lovely sound of hammers and power tools all day and well into the night, as well as blocked or non operational elevators and stairways. The room was basic at best, tiny mini fridge, tiny two burner stove, no cleaning supplies, AT ALL (not even a dish towel) and the view?? we had a beautiful unobstructed view of a Walmart parking lot. This place will have to step up to the standards of other propertys in town if they hope to last.
