Good Find in Galveston. Housed in what looks like a former Steak & Ale building from long ago, the Happy Buddha conjures up some really great chinese food, which includes a couple of authentic Cantonese dishes that are my personal favorites. While their prices are $1-2 higher per plate than average, they serve very plentiful and tasty quanties of each menu item. So all-in-all, it's really a good value. I particularly love thier Chicken Kew, or originally known as Hung Shu Gai Kew. Their won ton soup is always top-knotch as well, and is always delivered fresh and steaming hot to your table. Really, the only chinese restaurants that can surpass Happy Buddha, are a couple of very old, longtime favorites of mine close to Downtown Houston. Happy Buddha is by far, one of the best chinese restaurants anywhere around the Galveston area.

Great Food and Service. If you are looking to enjoy your meal and experience some fantastic food Happy Buddah is the place to go. The food is delicious, the staff is great and eager to assist you, and it is a relaxed atmosphere so you can eat in peace. It is the best Chinese food in the Houston/Galveston area! The food is worth it.
