Best Mansion Tour in Galveston. This is my favorite place to visit in Galveston. This house has so much to offer the eye, it has all of the beautiful woodwork, original art and lighting that just takes your breath away.

One of my favorite aspects of the tour is that there are no barricades in the rooms so you can get right up to the furniture and other things in the house and study them closely, and really appreciate their beauty. Since you get to enjoy the full spce of the house, everyone can go into the room and hear the guide clearly speak about the rich history around the house. This is in contrast to say, Moody Mansion, where there is so little space in each room where you are actually allowed to walk, some people had to stand outside the room while the guide discussed it.

The guide at Bishop's Palace was also very knowledgeable and friendly, he was very good about asking if anyone had questions and answered them.

This place is just absolutely a "must see" in Galveston, please dont miss it. I can't even begin to describe how beautiful it is, there are just so many luxurious qualities it's rediculous. I'd say that if you can only see one mansion in Galveston, this is the one. You will not be disappointed.
