In Short – Drinking is legal on East Beach, and it shows in the party atmosphere. The pavilion is the place to be during spring and summer weekends when special events--live radio broadcasts, bikini contests and bands--draw in the crowds. Sip frozen margaritas at the beach bar while enjoying the band or spend a lazy day at the beach enjoying the sun and singles.

We did not partake of any daytime activities, we did however visit the beach in the evening when the heat subsides. We went around 8pm each evening of our stay, they no longer charge for parking/admission during this time, (I do not know the exact cut off but it was rumored to me 6pm)
There is nothing like sundown at the gulf front, the nice ocean breeze and sound of crashing waves. I could have stayed all night.
