In Short – Although the stretch of the street where the Queen Anne B&B is located is rather bland and uneventful, the house itself bursts forth with surprises: antique furnishings and stained-glass windows. The six rooms in the house have a homey, 19th century feel, with huge, comfortable beds, an eclectic collection of antiques and historic photos of Galveston adorning the walls. Accommodations include bathrobes, coffee and soft drinks, and a TV lounge.
Editor's Tips
- The Extras:
- A tasty breakfast of quiche, potato casserole and hot muffins is served in the grand dining room promptly at 9am.
- Look Good:
- Visit "the purple room," a guest room that is so gaudily and giddily over-the-top that it looks as if Miss Kitty from Gunsmoke decorated it.
