A Queen Anne Victorian home maintained to exacting standards just six blocks from the beach and seawall..
The Scene
Built in 1887, this Victorian home is the only bed and breakfast on this block of Victorian architecture in Galveston's East End. Live oak and palm trees shade this historical two-story home that challenges even the oldest trees for dominance of the sky. A picket fence, gingerbread trim, double veranda and turret tower highlight the exterior. Inside you'll find rooms filled with antiques and a winding staircase graced with stained glass windows and cobalt blue transoms.
The Details
The five rooms at the Coppersmith Inn are decorated with antiques and come with private baths. The Carriage House features a private staircase entrance from the garden deck, while Clara's Country Cottage boasts a double-bed loft and antique tin bathtub. Warm yourself next to the neo-classical fireplace in Victoria's Room, enjoy the view from the large bay windows in Jasmine's Room, and be sure to admire the art Nouveau armoire in the Heather's Rose Room. Free soft drinks and water are available in all rooms, and visitors can borrow bicycles from the owners and tour the neighborhood.
