Part novelty shop, part upscale gift store, it's a welcome site for tourists strolling the Strand..

Hendley Market's sign warns, in the eclectic store's laid-back spirit: "Begging your pardon: Bare feet and dogs are well received; cigarettes, food and drinks are advised against." You wouldn't want to be holding anything anyway, since you'll want to get your hands on some of these goods at this delightfully eccentric standby on the Strand. A breathtakingly elegant antique beaded purse and a rubber brain that squirts water seem to be companionable neighbors on the shelf here.
