Bad Management – If the owner of this Salon would put as much time and energy working with and encouraging her employees as she does harassing, slandering and threatening those who choose to work elsewhere, she might be able to hang on to a few of them.
What a disappointment this place has become... i have been going to this salon for years, not only was it convenient for me but its one of the nicest salons in the area. That is until i've seen this salon change for the worse... now it seems the nice decor and the glass of wine doesn't matter so much anymore. First of all, the management has become beyond horrible. its obvious when you are trying to enjoy your service and the owner seems to have some sort of nervous energy as she running around the salon, looking as if she is in some sort of panic, or she is so angry you can almost see the smoke coming out of her ears... i've even seen her reprimand an employee in front of me before. That was awkward!! my second disappointment is to see the turn over they have in stylist and the receptionist. Im a loyal patron of Teressa's (which she is a very talented stylist and an amazing person) Ive been seeing her for several years and she has always worked wonders with my hair! but since i have been a long time customer i have been around long enough to see this salon loose some of it's most talented employees. What ashame. Things like that speak to a customer. Last but not least... i pay good money for my hair, i always have and always will. The price increase is not what bothers me, i think my stylist and my hair are worth every penny. What bothers me is the classification the owner puts you in!! if you dont have money, you better atleast look like you do, its that, or she has no problem making you feel as if you are not "worthy" of her salon. she is old enough to know, you never judge a book by its cover!! Now as im re-reading this review i think alot of this boils down to the ownership and maybe not so much the management. Im not really sure and i wont be back to find out... Let your customers know if you ever leave there Teressa!! i would love to have you still do my hair, i just cant sit for another 2 hour appointment in that salon. Just one more thing, im not typically the type of person that would actually sit down and take the time to write something like this, but they need to know... they are losing a customer because of those things. bummed but rather be spending my time and money else where.
Found my stylist! – I have now been through 3 hairstylist at Altered Images. It was a big step for me to try each one of them ManDY, Ashton, and Shannon. Every time one left I begged for a way to get in touch with them...instead of helping me find them the owner was so rude to me and kept telling me lies about why these girls were no longer there. You couldnt pay me to go back here, anyway find these girls on facebook, thats what i did
AMAZING STYLIST...Horrible Owner/Management – I agree with the previous review. This salon had an amazing stylist that I love and can't live without and this week I was told she is gone. The management/ownership is horrible and rude and the turnover of stylists is so high. There are new faces every time I go in. I definitely won't be back.
Whats with the turn overs!? – I don't understand what the problem is with this salon?! I finally found a good stylist in this salon and all of the sudden she is gone. Every time i go to this salon there are new people and that speaks to clients! Something is definitely going on and i want to know WHERE IS ASHTON! If ANYONE on here can tell me what happened to her or where i can find her please help!!!
Where can I find my stylist? – I have been going to Altered Images to see Shannon for a couple of years now, but was told a few weeks ago that she was no longer there. I have been trying to figure out where she went so I can go to her. I have tried other stylists but really want to stick with shannon because she knows my cut and color so well. Can anyone tell me where she went or how to contact her?
too expensive – My color and cut were okay, but I wish they would have given me a heads up on their prices prior to my appointment. I spent far too much money than I expected. I usually pay quite a bit for my cut and color as I usually go to Toni and Guy, but this was a little ridiculous. If you dont mind paying outrageous prices, the stylist I had was very talented with color, but the cut was only okay. Wont be going back.
Awesome Stylist, Horrible Horrible Management – This place has some awesome and talented stylist. On the other hand, the management is horrible. Apparently they recently had a change of up front staff, which seems to be something that happens every month, but it was so difficult to just get someone to check me out and book an appointment. The little girl up front had to call the owner up to help her, but even she didn't know what she was doing. I've had trouble with them never being able to locate my gift cards or even the balance on them. As a whole, Altered Images Color Salon and Day spa is very unprofessional!
Worst Spa Experience EVER.....will not go back ever! – This place is aweful. Terrible customer service and they don't know how to book appointments correctly. I would give them 0 stars if possible.
I booked 2 spa appointments for my mom and me. I booked these appointments 3 weeks in advance. The Saturday before our appointments they called and confirmed our appointments. So 15 minutes before our appointments they called and said that they only can do one of our spa appointments because they failed in getting another spa tech there.
So I told them to go ahead and cancel the other appointment because there's no reason for me to come in if my mom can't get her appointment too. So they called me back and offered us a free service and we could both get our spa appointments but it will be at different times and the free service would be completed while the other person was getting their service. So we came in.
The front desk person has no clue on whats she doing and booked everything wrong. We had a terrible experiene. Also the front desk person argued with me and blamed everything on me when it was her fault. Even when she tried to blame me she would blame her self and turned it all on me. Aweful!!!!
We came her to get relaxed and we left the place mad, stress & un-relaxed. I was told that the owner will give me to fix everything, but I still haven't received the phone call. Even if Kelly calls me...I will NOT go back ever again. There are too many better Spa places in the Clearlake area to go to.
Great Place for the whole body...... – I have been a customer of Altered Images since 1986 when the salon opened for business. I have always received wonderful services there. Whether it was my hair, nails or spa service. They have always been very professional each and every time as well as going above and beyond the call of duty. I will continue to be loyal to Altered Images! The owner has always gone out of her way to make me & every other person feel more than welcome there! Keep up the good work!!
