Great Steaks, Awful Salads

The steaks are the best. I live in California, but everytime my family is in Houston or Austin, we go to Hoffbrau's for the steaks. The ambience is not fine dining, but the food is tasty.

Overpriced and Bad Service

My experience with the Porter location was flat out bad. The meat was tough, not overcooked, just tough. The price seemed to be on the higher side of what it should have been, then again the meat was tough. Service wasn't anything to brag about on a slow Sunday afternoon. Our server came around about 3 times, to get the order, to bring the order, and to leave the check. Simply not a good experience, if you want a taste, and some mistreatment, go to the Golden Corral.
