Astronomical prices and questionable quality put eating and drinking during a Houston Astros game into serious question--but we've found some restaurants and bars near Minute Maid Park to set things right for you. Many downtown restaurants close down after lunch, but the remaining choices aren't all that bad. We've found excellent Vietnamese, sliders and beer specials within a stone's throw from the park.

Since this Houston pub is next door to Warehouse Live, it catches folks both pre- and post-concerts and games. The appeal of its proximity to Minute Maid Park is only improved by the 21-foot TV screen and free shuttle to Astros and Rockets games.
It's an institution in Mexican dining and offers a free shuttle to and from Houston Astros games. No brainer?
Houstonians tend to have rather extreme opinions about this beer and burgers joint, ranging from ?it's a dump? to ?it's an institution.?
Right across the street from Minute Maid Park, this may or may not be a step up from the Bus. Bonus: The usual fried food options are discounted on game days.
With the Houston Pavilions up and running, there are a lot more dining options available to Houston Astros fans that are worth the extra few blocks. A martini and Kobe beef slider make for a sophisticated and satisfying start to the evening.
Also lodged in the Houston Pavilions, this pub offers a fairly limited beer selection but makes up for it with late night grub.
