The mere mention of steak has us rubbing our hands together in delight and bar owners know it. That's why they draw us in with bargain steak dinners--usually a house-cut ribeye with a side or two for under $20--on quiet nights. It's flattering, really, what they'll get up to in order to win us over. For your dining pleasure, here are some bar steak nights around town Monday through Thursday. (Photo: Saint Dane's)

The cheapest on the list at $10, this ribeye-and-two-sides deal is only one of the food attractions Saint Dane's offers during the week. Tuesdays bring taco night and Wednesday has half-priced wraps. If the flat screens get too loud, there's always room on the porch.
For some reason, steak night at the Volcano is a big draw for ladies and the patio is often occupied by women dishing dirt over cocktails and plate-sized ribeyes. We'll join them just for the Chimichurri sauce. For $15, expect a side salad with housemade dressing, garlicky mashed potatoes and flan for dessert.
Foodies may scoff at the idea of cheap steak, but if there's a place to change their minds it's Community Bar. Chef Bob changes his offerings each week but one Tuesday dinner included a 16-ounce ribeye, marinated and grilled outdoors, and the choice between four sides like spicy grilled pineapple and jalapeno mashed potatoes.
There are two things that make the $12 steak night at the Hideaway better: It happens again on Saturday nights and pitchers are only $6.50. Tuesdays are also when the "Big Ass Blues Jam" goes down.
Pair one of the 40 wines by the glass available with Chef Eric Lawhon's 10-ounce New York Strip, grilled shrimp and herbed potatoes for only $14.99. It's a classier take on steak night but, thankfully, not any more expensive.
All the neighborhood regulars get their burgers and beers here, so they might as well get their steaks here, too. It's an idyllic setting, all surrounded by trees, to enjoy a 14-ounce ribeye and baked potato for $14 on a picnic table.
This cozy Rice Village pub loves steak night so much it has it both Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm-10pm (right after happy hour, unfortunately).
Sports fans flock for Tuesday night karaoke and Wednesday night steaks--16oz and a side for $16. It's up to you to pick your poison.
There are food and drinks specials every weekday at Stag's Head but we think Wednesday has the best: $3.75 Shock Top Pints, $10 pitchers of St. Arnold's and Shock Top and a 12oz strip steak for $12.95.
Ladies, when one of the most popular bars in Midtown is offering a steak special on the same day as 'Big Ass Beer' night, you know it's a good place to meet men.
This neighborhood pub in Midtown known for its trivia nights offers a ribeye, baked potato and you-call-it drink for $14.
Take a seat on the huge patio of the popular Midtown bar for $14 ribeye and a baked potato.
